SACDRED VALLEY

SACRED VALLEY TOUR

If you would like to scape crowds we can organize this tour four you in reverse or opposite to the normal tour groups.

Option 1.-We start early at 7am. And head to Chincheros and Andean town known because of the weavings, so we will visit one of the weaving organization houses to enjoy a demonstration of washing, dye and ancestral weaving techniques, recommended place to buy a good weaving remember to take home. Also, admire the mural paintings in the colonial church that was built one of the Inca temples, and appreciate some Inca terraces. From here we descend in to the Sacred Valley and go to Ollantaytambo Considered as an Inca leaving town and amaze the huge boulders that the Inca architects did use to build the sun temple.

After Ollantaytambo we take the way back to stop in Urubamba for a deserve buffed lunch before continuing to Pisac our final stop of the day, site where we will appreciate one of the biggest Inca cemetery and explore the terraces see the storage constructions, if there is time visit briefly to Pisac market and back to Cusco arriving approximately at 7pm.

To do this tour is a bit tiring but rewarding trip for people who want to enjoy in a short amount of time.

Market days in Chincheros: Sundays

Market days in Pisac: evary day but Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday is a little bit bigger, so if anybody is more interested in the market the recommended day is Sundays

Option 2

Early at 7 am in the morning we start our trip and the first archaeological site that we are going to visit is Pisac, big Inca town’s whit different neighborhoods and cemetery whit a good conditions in many of the structures that tell us how important was this place to the Incas. Then we will go down to visit the market of Pisac whit hundreds of handicrafts and jewelry before head to Urubamba for a buffet lunch. In the afternoon we continue to Ollantaytambo big fortress whit religious, administrative, military and agricultural functions that were built to protect from invasions from people of the low jungle who were threatening to the Incas. Finally finish our day exploring the town before to take the train to Aguas calientes
