    The museum, created in 1998 on the initiative of a group of enthusiasts, the administration of the Amber and German community Palmniken, is located in a historic building that was once part of the Palmniken fortress.     The promenade has a significant “surface” part - it goes over the lagoon formed on the site of one of the former amber quarries. The construction stretches along most of the city's coastline - from the descent to the sea in Becker Park to the site at the Galera restaurant.

    The monument to the victims of the Death March by sculptors Frank Meisler and Arie Ovadia was inaugurated on January 30, 2011 in Yantarny.
    The monument is a seven-meter-high carved from granite hands raised to the sky with the numbers of prisoners of a concentration camp. Also in the balneary there was mud, electric, light treatment and therapeutic massage. Under the roof there was an observation deck with a view to the sea, but now it is closed for tourists.

    In 1978 a solar clock was installed on the water tower. It was designed according to the project of local Artist and sculptor Nikolai Frolov. Currently, the tower and balneary belong to the Svetlogorsk central military sanatorium. The Water tower is also considered to be an object of cultural heritage.

    25 years old from 1919 to 1944 they lived in East Prussia and considered it their homeland. Herman Brachert was engaged in sculpture, medal plastics, jewelry. He created more than 20 monumental sculptures for Koenigsberg and the provinces of East Prussia.
