  • Day 1: Negombo/Colombo - Sigiriya

    Stop At: Dambulla Cave Temple, Jaffna Hwy, Habarana 50150 Sri Lanka

    Dambulla temple is also known as the golden temple & is a UNESCO world heritage site. It is the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. The rock towers 160 m over the surrounding plains. There are more than 80 documented caves in the surrounding area. Major attractions are spread over five caves, which contain statues and paintings. These paintings and statues are related to Gautama Buddha and his life. There are a total of 153 Buddha statues.

    After lunch go on a wildlife jeep safari at Minneriya/Kaudulla National Park
    More spectacular than possibly any other wildlife event in Sri Lanka is what is known as the ‘The Gathering’. During the dry season when water supplies start to diminish, more and more animals congregate around the Minneriya reservoir where grasses are rich and fertile. For several months of this drought season different herds of wild elephants gather at the reservoir. They come from the areas beyond Minneriya, and at any one time it is possible to witness up to 300-400 elephants. They are not migrating, they simply ‘gather’, to socialize, bathe, feed and possibly mate.

    Day 2: Sigiriya Rock - Polonnaruwa

    Stop At: Sigiriya The Ancient Rock Fortress, Sigiriya 21120 Sri Lanka
    After breakfast visit Sigiriya Rock Fortress (20mnts Drive)
    Sigiriya is an ancient rock fortress built one thousand six hundred years ago by King Kasyapa. He built his palace on the top of this rock and decorated its sides with colorful frescoes. On a small plateau about halfway up the side of this rock, he built a gateway in the form of an enormous lion. Sigiriya today is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is one of the best-preserved examples of ancient urban planning

    Day 4: Kandy - Nuwara Eliya

    Stop At: Ramboda Waterfall, Pussellawa Sri Lanka
    After breakfast leave for Nuwara Eliya (2.30-hour drive)

    Take a small walk down to the waterfall viewpoint and enjoy the nature around.

    Day 5: Nuwara Eliya - Horton Plains - Ella

    Stop At: Horton Plains National Park, Nuwara Eliya Sri Lanka
    Early morning hike to Horton plains & worlds-end drop point. (Approx. 1-hour drive & recommended to leave the hotel at 5 AM)
    This is a very scenic trekking excursion where you will enjoy the beautiful hill country wildlife. The main attraction is the World’s end drop point where plateau comes to a sudden end; it’s a stunning escarpment that plunges 880m.

    Day 6: Ella

    Stop At: Little Adam's Peak, Passara Road, Ella 90090 Sri Lanka
    After breakfast hike up to little Adams peak.
    Little Adams Peak whether considering the word ‘Little’, it is named after the sacred Adams Peak (Sri Pada –where the footprint of Lord Buddha is preserved) regarding the similarity between the two mountains.
    The summit offers magnificent views of surrounding mountains and the Ella gap.

    Day 7: Ella - Yala

    Stop At: Rawana Falls, Wellawaya-Ella-Kumbalwela Hwy, Ella 90090 Sri Lanka

    On the way visit a beautiful waterfall named after a local legend called Rawana which believed to have lived in Ella area and the stories date back to the prehistoric era.

    Day 8: Yala - Galle

    This UNESCO world heritage site The Galle Dutch Fort is a rare historical jewel protected by dark, thick stone walls – with the endless ocean on one side.
