Stavanger City Highlights & The 3 Swords
This tour visits The Ullandhaug Tower and the Viking Monument, Swords in Rock (Sverd i fjell) where we will stop for photos. On the way to Ullandhaug, we'll stop at Hafrsfjord, where a historical sea battle was fought in the age of the Vikings 1100 years ago. From Ullandhaug Tower, you will get a bird’s eye view over the city and the Ryfylke Fjords.
You'll be able to view the outside of Stavanger Cathedral, which was built of stone in the 12th century by the English Bishop Reinald.
Finally, you will take in a guided walking tour of both the Old Town and the modern part of town, before having some free time to experience Stavanger and to shop for souvenirs.
The tour will then return back to the port and to your cruise ship.

The tour will visit The Ullandhaug Tower, where you will be able to briefly stop and take photos. On the way to Ullandhaug, the tour will have another short stop at Hafrsfjord, where a historical sea battle was fought in the age of the Vikings. From the top of the tower, you will be able to take stunning photos of the city Stavanger and the Ryfylke Fjords

You'll be able to view the outside of Stavanger Cathedral, which was built of stone in the 12th century. The Cathedral was erected by Bishop Reinald from Winchester, England, in 1125, after King Sigurd Jorsalfar (the Crusader) made Stavanger to a cathedral town. The well-preserved Middle Ages cathedral was originally erected in Anglo-Norman style, but after a fire in 1272, the vestibule was rebuilt in Gothic style.
