The main entrance of the old city of Cartagena de Indias was located in the Clock Tower. At first, the clock tower had only one arch to enter, that is, the middle one.

Even today, within this splendid work, we can see in the central arch the marks and sites of the pendulums of the old clock that, in 1888, were replaced by the current ones and I receive the name of the Clock Tower.

Dozens of facial statues of martyrdoms are exposed in order to remember the insurrection for freedom. During the Christmas holidays, this place becomes super spectacular.

Bulwark of Santa Clara
The Baluarte de Santa Clara, like the rest of the Wall of the Navy, suffered numerous attacks from the sea that undermined its structure and made its reconstruction necessary. Called Santa Clara by the convent of Poor Clares located behind it, it was built by Cristóbal de Roda during the first third of the 17th century.
