    Early in the morning you are picked up from your hotel/airport and transferred by private air-conditioned vehicle to the Gateway of India and harbor to board the ferry for the ride to Elephanta Island, home to the World Heritage-listed Elephanta Caves. These ancient cave temples date back to the fifth century statues and honor the Hindu god Shiva.
