    Stop At: The Plaza Central Park, Plaza Mayor City Center, Antigua 03001 Guatemala

    We visit the Central Park of Antigua Guatemala. Here we walk around observing locals in their daily life. You can find them selling traditional food, kids' toys, textiles and more.
    We also visit some of the surrounding main buildings like the General Captaincy and the City Hall.

    Stop At: Cathedral de Santiago, 5a Calle Oriente 5 Centro Histórico, Antigua 03001 Guatemala

    In front of Central Park, we find the Cathedral of Antigua: Saint James. The original church was built around 1541, but suffered several earthquakes throughout its history and never was finished. However, it has two parts, the main body where Catholic masses are held and the ruins, where the guide explains how this building is a treasure not just due to its architecture, but also because of Mayan ceremonies held at the ruins.

    Stop At: Cerro de la Cruz, Antigua, Guatemala Al final de la 1ª Avenida Norte, Antigua 03001 Guatemala

    Our first stop before entering into the colonial City is "Cerro de la Cruz" a hill wherein 1930, a wooden cross was set. The attraction is the panoramic view over the city with its avenues, buildings, and churches having as background the Agua Volcano.

    Stop At: Jade Maya - The Original Jade factory and Museum, 4a. Calle Oriente No. 34, Antigua 03001 Guatemala

    We visit a store-museum of Jade. Jade was a precious stone for the Mesoamerican tribes and Guatemala is one of the main producers of it.

    Stop At: Mercado de Artesanias, C. Poniente and Alameda de Santa Lucia 4, Antigua 03001 Guatemala

    Visit the handicraft market of Antigua Guatemala to admire hand-made products and buy souvenirs to take home.

    Stop At: Convento de las Capuchinas, Av Norte at 2 Calle Oriente 2 Centro Histórico, Antigua 03001 Guatemala

    Visit some ruins of churches and covenants of Antigua Guatemala as "Las Capuchinas". The splendor of these sites remains not only on its architectural beauty but also on the secrets of its history.
