Stop At: Avenida dos Aliados, Av. dos Aliados, 4000 Porto, Portugal

The grandeur of its architectural ensemble and its central character make this avenue the "living room" of the city, being the quintessential place where Portuenses concentrate to celebrate special moments. Granite buildings, many of them crowned with lanterns, domes and eaves. Marked by a large central plate completely paved by granite cobblestones, where statues come to life and where the Water Mirror deserves prominence. At its northern top is the Town Hall building.

    Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Sao Bento Railway Station, Praca Almeida Garrett, Porto 4000-069 Portugal

São Bento Train Station was built at the beginning of the 9th century on the remains of the former São Bento de Ave Maria convent and still retains the melancholic and ancient air that characterizes the city of Porto.

Although its façade is stately and eye-catching, the real jewel is inside: a hall decorated with over 20,000 tiles depicting the history of Portugal.

    Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Porto Cathedral (Se Catedral), Terreiro Se, Porto 4050-573 Portugal

The cathedral is situated in the Batalha district, next to the walls that protected the city in the past. The exterior of the building has a crenellated fortress look.

Construction of the cathedral began in the twelfth century and throughout history has undergone many reconstructions, so it has different styles. Most of the cathedral is Baroque, although the façade structure and church body are Romanesque, and the cloister and chapel of St. John the Evangelist are Gothic in style.

Inside, the large columns increase the feeling of narrowness and height of the central nave. It is very sober in decoration and the walls are empty except for the larger altar and some baroque style chapels.

    Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Torre dos Clerigos, Rua Sao Filipe Neri, Porto 4050-546 Portugal

Clérigos Tower is the tallest tower in Portugal: its 76 meters high and over 200 steps give access to a privileged panoramic view of Porto.

As you climb the tower, you'll find 49 bells that make a great concert chime that will probably scare you as you ring. When you're on top, every effort will be worth it, because you can enjoy a magnificent view of Porto and make good photos.

    Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Livraria Lello, Rua Carmelitas 144 Vitória, Porto 4050-161 Portugal

A neo-Gothic building built in 1906 houses the Lello e Irmão Bookstore.

Inside, several ancient details manage to create an environment capable of transporting us a century ago.

Its huge wooden bookshelves loom up to the ceiling and a beautiful carved wooden staircase reigns in the center of the store, while the stained glass of the ceiling shines with natural light, giving life to this unique setting.

    Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Mercado do Bolhao, Rua Formosa, Porto 4000-214 Portugal

Near Avenida dos Aliados is one of the liveliest and most popular areas of Porto: Bolhão Market, where, since 1914, it has been selling meat, fish, fruit, flowers and many other products.

The market has several floors, where trades are distributed around a large central courtyard. Inside this huge and decaying building the essence of Porto is preserved.

In the market area you can see a lot of shops, especially cod, that have not been modernized and retain their old look.
