This hike will take you to the 2014 m high peak of Debela

Peč. In only about 3 hours you will reach the top and enjoy

an amazing view over the Julian Alps to the north and

west, Lake Bled and its surroundings to the south, majestic

Karavanke Ridge to the East and Karavanke-Savinja Alpine

Ridge in the distance on the south-eastern side. There is

a cabin under the peak where you can order traditional

Slovenian food.

  • The panoramic hike in the Julian Alps is an easy hike to 2050 m high mountain Debela peč. Starting in Pokljuka plateau will give you a glimpse of the alpine beauty. While hiking to the top of the mountain you will be surrounded by a beautiful green forest and soon you will get the best views around the Alps. Between the hike, we will also make a stop at the traditional Slovenian mountain hut where you will be able to try some traditional food. At the top off the mountain, you will get the most amazing view of Triglav mountain which is the highest in the Julian Alps.
