Day 1: Lallybroch and southern locations

We begin with one of the most recognisable sights for the Outlander fans: Midhope Castle, which in the TV series plays Lallybroch.

Stop At: Hopetoun House, South Queensferry, Edinburgh EH30 9SL Scotland
Lallybroch is conveniently located in the grounds of the 18th c. Hopetoun House, which itself starred as multiple locations for the production - you'll discover all the scenes with your private guide!

Stop At: Blackness Castle, Blackness, Linlithgow EH49 7NH Scotland
After lunch we set out to explore two more Outlander locations in the Lothian region. Blackness Castle was transformed into Fort William and witnessed Jamie’s dramatic punishment.

Even more evocative scenes were filmed in Linlithgow Palace - the well-preserved royal residence with strong links to Mary, Queen of Scots.

In the evening we make our base in the quaint city of Stirling with its many restaurants, royal castle and historic Old Town.

Day 2: Castle Leoch and venture north

Stop At: Doune Castle, Castle Hill, Doune, Stirling FK16 6EA Scotland
In the morning we head north for a tour of Doune Castle – Outlander’s Castle Leoch. Your private guide will introduce you to the real history of the place and point out all the scenes filmed at the location.

Stop At: Deanston Distillery & Visitor Centre, Deanston Distillery Near Doune, Stirling FK16 6AG Scotland
A short walk takes us to Deanston village (Le Havre in the TV series), famous for its whisky distillery. You can tour the distillery if you wish and literally taste that rebellious Scottish spirit!

Stop At: Drummond Gardens, 2 miles south of Crieff on the Muthill Road (A822) Drummond Castle, Crieff PH7 4HZ Scotland
Next up are the magnificent Drummond Castle Gardens – background of the Versailles scenes on the show and set location for another Hollywood classic - "Rob Roy".

Stop At: Falkland, Falkland, Fife, Scotland
After lunch we head to Falkland, in which all Outlander fans will recognise post-war Inverness from the first season of the series.
Duration: 1 hour

Stop At: Culross, Culross, Fife, Scotland
We make our final stop in a seaside village of Culross – set location for Cranesmuir – before we finish our outlandish adventure at your preferred spot.
