Cape Kamenjak, a small peninsula 9,5 km long, 1,5 km wide and with its deeply indented coastline 30 km long. The waters of the sea are nowhere more bluish green and crystal clean than in this locality – the southernmost tip of Istria. The rocky beaches alternate with sandy coves. On a relatively small surface area of Kamenjak, there exists the diversity of 530 plant species, out of which 20 species belong to the orchid family. Kamenjak is situated in a purely natural environment, there are no campsites, hotels or buildings in here. A bit farther on the way, close to the bay of Pinizule, the ancient dinosaur footprints were discovered in the rock slabs several years ago.

Life appeared on Earth about 3.8 billion years ago and has since evolved into an innumerable number of species which amaze us time and again. Numerous fossil remains in the rocks are a time machine that takes us back to the Earth’s distant past, revealing its long-lost spaces and unusual inhabitants. One such exciting story is recorded in the grey-white limestone of Kamenjak, which had long been ruled by magnificent reptiles – dinosaurs.

Stop At: Njive Beach, Premantura Croatia

Beautiful location at the southern end of Kamenjak. During the summer period, you can make a break for swimming here (don't forget your swimsuit).

Mali Portić beach is the only sandy beach on Cape Kamenjak but its important to say that the sand is on the beach and in the sea. There is Portich beach bar which offers cold and hot drinks and delicious burgers.

Pass By: Vinkuran, Vinkuran, Istria

Since old Roman times, Vinkuran has been renowned for its natural resources. The largest proof for this is the quarry Cave Romanos which was used to create the Amphiteathre in Pula.
