Half-Day Private Guided Tuk Tuk Tour of Namunukula from Ella
This is a somewhat exhausting morning expedition, the level of exercise being comparable in exercise to climbing Adam's Peak. In contrast to Sri Lanka's more famous Peak, there is no stairway but only a jungle path to the top of Namunukula, which by the way literally translates to "Nine Peaks".
The tour to the mountain saddle where the path starts cannot be done with a normal car, as the gravel road is much too bumpy. This is why it is a Tuktuk expedition of 20 km one way, along one of the most scenic mountain roads of Sri Lanka.

Stop At: Namunukula Mountain Peak, Sri Lanka
Namunukula is the backyard mountain of Badulla and the highest peak in the entire area of Ella. Though its name indicates "nine peaks" the main summit is a small plateau with views to various directions. Weather conditions to enjoy the views are better in the morning. This is why this tour is usually not arranged in the afternoon. Other tourists are rarely met in this spectacular area, neither on the steep path to the top nor on the summit.
