Day 2: Antananarivo - Tuléar - Ifaty

Pass By: Toliara Province, Toliara Province
After breakfast, transfer to the airport and flight to Tulear (flight for information). Welcome by your guide and driver in Tulear then transfer by car to Ifaty, the fishing village located 35km north of Tulear. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Ifaty and its surrounding villages

Ifaty, Mangily, Madiorano and Ambolimailaka are small villages that face the majestic lagoon of Ranobe with turquoise water, known for its coral reef. They act here as seaside resorts.
Free time, activities to do with your guide: you can do activities at sea such as excursions by speedboat or trip in a traditional outrigger canoe, you will have the opportunity to do trolling, water skiing depending on the season, snorkeling or bottle diving… Then there are the cart rides in Zébu and a hike in the dry forest with various endemic thorny varieties, euphorbia, Didiéraceae, pachypodiums and Baobabs. lazing on the beach. Day 4: Ifaty - Tulear - Ranohira

Stop At: Ranohira, Ranohira, Fianarantsoa Province
Breakfast, you leave the village of Ifaty to reach the village of Ranohira in a stopover at Tulear to visit and discover the museum. Continuation of the ascent on the RN7, you will see various tombs with many shape and well decorated, erected with wooden sculptures of the ethnic groups of Mahafaly and Antandroy. They are zebu breeders. You will no doubt come across impressive herds of zebus and sheep and goats. You will cross numerous villages and towns of gold and sapphire seekers, you will stop at the window of Isalo, to watch the sunset through the massif. Then check in and overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Visit and discovery of the Isalo National Park

Adventure with a park guide, it is a hike in the uniform massif of Isalo, you calmly put a small bag on your shoulder for a hike through surprising landscapes made up of canyons, pools and rocks to magic erosions. Your beautiful day of walking in this spectacular setting begins in the morning with a visit to the natural swimming pool lost in the middle of the immensity of the rocks; it continues with a picnic (at your expense) near the waterfall of nymphs populated by lemurs and ends with the discovery of black and blue pools.
The Isalo National Park created in 1962, is classified in the category of exceptional parks. Extending over 100 km from North to South, It is truly unique in Madagascar by its geomorphological formation dating from the Jurassic: this ruin-shaped continental sandstone massif, hollowed out by deep canyons, hosts endemic rupicolous vegetation (Aloe, Euphorbia, Pachypodes ...) .
You will discover during the visit of exceptional fauna, most of the species are endemic, like rock reptiles, lemurs and other species of lemurs. The Bara ethnic group predominates in this region, they are farmers, but also zebu breeders.

Day 6: Ranohira - Anja - Ambalavao- Fianarantsoa

Stop At: Fianarantsoa, Fianarantsoa, Fianarantsoa Province
Departure from Ranohira to join the town of Fianarantsoa. You will pass the immense plateau of the Ihorombe until Ihosy. You leave little by little the dry and arid South and you enter the landscape of Highlands.
A 1h30mn stop to visit the small reserve of Anjagéré by the village association AMI (Anja Miray): a gallery forest of ficus, lianas and orchids has developed between spectacular rocky chaos, sometimes forming adopted caves as shelters by certain animals. On the relief slopes, the plant relay was colonized by succulents, such as lespachypodiums etkalanchoes. Day 7: Fianarantsoa - Antsirabe

Discovery of the city of Fianarantsoa in the morning. Around 10 a.m., departure to reach the city of Antsirabe. A few stops along the way to always explore the surroundings of the remains. Day 8: Antsirabe - Antananarivo - Country of origin

Stop At: Ambatolampy, Ambatolampy, Antananarivo Province
You will make a small tour of the city and visit local craftsmen (making miniature bikes and cars, working the zebu horn…) then drive to Ambatolampy, you will have a short stop in this city to discover the workshop artisanal pot making and various aluminum kitchen and decoration items. You will appreciate the magnificent landscape, you will see rice fields and characteristic villages of the Highlands, often, you will have small stops to enjoy the impressive landscape. You will also have time to do the tasting. Continuation of the road to Antananarivo. According to our time, a possibility to visit the craft market to buy souvenirs. Installation at the hotel near the airport to have daytime rest. Evening transfer to the airport for your return flight.
