    We start our tour in the heart of Cape Town, situated just off Long Street is Green Market Square. Here we will trace the arrival of the first European settlers to Cape Town.

    As we maneuver deeper into the heart of the city, our next stop is at the new City Hall to visit the statue of the father of our nation, Nelson Mandela. It was here where Mr. Mandela made his first public speech after being released from prison.

    Stop At: Iziko Slave Lodge, Corner of Adderley and Wale Streets, Cape Town Central 8000 South Africa

    At this point, we will tell you about the arrival of the slaves into the Cape Colony and the living conditions of the slaves.

    Duration: 15 minutes

    Stop At: Company's Gardens, 19 Queen Victoria Street, Cape Town Central 8001 South Africa

    The Company Gardens are situated next to the Parliament building, it is here we will tell you about the political climate in South Africa, the significance of the Company Gardens and possibly feed some friendly squirrels.

    Duration: 15 minutes

    Stop At: High Court Annex Benches, Queen Victoria Street, Cape Town Central 8000 South Africa

    At this point we will discuss Apartheid and the state of affairs during this period. We will also briefly discuss how the government classified the different races.

    Stop At: Cape Town Central, Cape Town Central, Western Cape

    Western Tasting: After exploring the inner city, we will stop for a well deserved biltong and local beer tasting. Biltong is cured dried meat similar to beef jerky in the U.S.

    Stop At: Auwal Mosque, 43 Dorp Street, Cape Town Central 8001 South Africa

    This is the oldest and the first mosque that was built in South Africa, situated in the Bo Kaap neighborhood. Here we will briefly discuss the arrival of Islam to South Africa and the man responsible for establishing the mosque.

    Stop At: Bo-Kaap, Bo-Kaap, Western Cape

    At this point we will discuss gentrification, focusing on the colored (mixed race) and Cape Malay communities of the Western Cape in pre and post Apartheid South Africa.

    Duration: 1 hour

    Stop At: Guga S'thebe, Washington St, Langa, Cape Town, 7455, South Africa

    At this part of our journey, we will focus on the black communities in South Africa in pre and post-apartheid South Africa as we go on a walking tour of this township with a local resident. We will end our tour with a traditional South African braai.
