Full Day Avignon Private Tour of Pope's Palace and Chateauneuf du Pape from Nice

Tour’s itinerary:

From Nice we will set off on the motorway to the city of Avignon. Your first stop will take place in the historic center of the city, where you will visit the Palace of the Avignon Popes, consisting of the Old and New palaces. You will see one of the oldest fortresses in France with its strict and majestic architecture.
• Then your guide will take you to the fortress of Wardrobe, where you will have free time to admire the magnificent work of artists under the guidance of Simone Martini and Matteo Giovanetti. Also, you will visit the Little Papal Palace, whose walls are decorated with canvases by Italian artists from the 13th to the 16th century. Don’t miss the picture: "The Virgin with the Child" written by the young Botticelli in the hall dedicated to Gothic and Romance works.
• Then you will go to the next point of our tour - the wine house Chateauneuf-du-Pape, which began its history more than 70 years ago in the heart of the Rhone valley. Here you have several options depending on your wishes and tastes. You will be invited to the tasting room for individual presentations and tastings.
