Stop At: Corinth Canal, Isthmia, Corinth 201 00 Greece
We start from Athens and drive along the Saronic gulf to Corinth canal. This canal connects the Saronic gulf with the Corinthian gulf. It was completed it in 1896.

Here you will see the archaeological museum of Corinth which is famous for its two Kouros (male statues). You will also see the temple of Apollo. Another important site to see here is the Bema where St. Paul stood and preached to the ancient Corinthians.

Next we travel through the farmland to reach Mycenae, the home of king Agamemnon. It's a citadel-city with a spectacular entrance through the lion's gate. You will walk all the way up to the palace where the royal family lived.

Then we will visit the archaeological museum of Mycenae which has beautiful war pieces and ceramic art.
After visiting the museum we will visit the tomb of King Atreas. It is uniquely shaped as a beehive.

We travel through orange groves to reach the city of Nafplio. This was the first capital of Greece and also a Venetian town.

This is one of the castles in Nafplion on top of the mountain which has 999 stairs.

This castle is built in the water in front of the city of Nafplion. You can see this castle from a distance. We will have lunch in this town and also walk around.

We continue our tour by heading to Epidavros which is a well preserved ancient Greek theater built in 4BC. It is known for its great acoustic sound. It holds 13,000 spectators.

The main sanctuary area, called the Asklepion, contains two spas where a variety of healing rituals took place, including hypnosis. This was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1988. There is also a shrine to Asklepios and the remains of rooms for patients.
After this we begin our return to Athens.
