The place is known for the excellent conservation of its wall paintings, where highlighted colors like red, blue, yellow, black and white, and represent characteristics of the Mayan culture. Duration: 2 hours

    Stop At: Tlaxcala, Mexico

Walking tour around the historic center of the unhurried & unself-conscious capital of Mexico’s smallest state. Its compact colonial downtown is defined by grand government buildings, imposing churches and a handsome central plaza. Despite its small stature, Tlaxcala is neither timid nor parochial. With a large student population, good restaurants and bars and a handful of excellent museums, the city has a surprisingly vibrant cultural life. Because there’s no single attraction that puts Tlaxcala on tourist itineraries, it remains largely undiscovered, despite its location less than two hours' drive from Mexico City.

    Duration: 3 hours

Stop At: Museo Regional de Tlaxcala - INAH, Calzada de s/n, San Francisco, Centro, 90000 Tlaxcala de Xicohténcatl, Tlaxcala, Mexico

Guided visit to the Tlaxcala Regional Museum located in an old Franciscan convent from the 16th century annexed to the current Tlaxcala cathedral. In this enclosure pieces of colonial sacred art are exhibited, in addition to archaeological collections belonging to the territory that formerly occupied the Republic of Tlaxcala.
