  • Day 1: Ayubowan Sri Lanka

    Stop At: Royal Botanical Gardens, Peradeniya Road, Peradeniya 20400 Sri Lanka
    These stunning gardens were once reserved exclusively for Kandyan royalty. Today, even commoners are allowed in to enjoy the most impressive and largest (60 hectares) botanic gardens in Sri Lanka.

    Highlights include a fine collection of orchids, a stately avenue of royal palms, the extraordinary, aptly named cannonball fruit tree and 40m-high Burma bamboo. Another big hit is the giant Javan fig tree on the great lawn, with its colossal central trunk and umbrella-like canopy of branches. Peradeniya is 6km from central Kandy.

    This museum once housed Kandyan royal concubines and now features royal regalia and reminders of pre-European Sinhalese life. One of the most impressive exhibits is Rajasinha II's golden crown, but for visitors the museum is let down by poor lighting, labelling and general layout. The tall-pillared audience hall hosted the convention of Kandyan chiefs that ceded the kingdom to Britain in 1815.

    Stop At: Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, Sri Dalada Veediya, Kandy 20000 Sri Lanka
    The golden-roofed Temple of the Sacred Tooth houses Sri Lanka’s most important Buddhist relic – a tooth of the Buddha. During puja (offerings or prayers), the heavily guarded room housing the tooth is open to devotees and tourists. However, you don’t actually see the tooth. It’s kept in a gold casket shaped like a dagoba (stupa), which contains a series of six dagoba caskets of diminishing size.

    As well as the revered main temple, the complex includes a series of smaller temples, shrines and museums.

As many as 12 different folk and traditional dances are performed by Kandy lake club dance troop within the span of one hour.

    Day 2: City On the Plain

    Stop At: Ramboda, Ramboda, Central Province
    Ramboda is a village in Sri Lanka. It is located within Central Province. The Wavenden Estate in Ramboda is the birthplace of British Admiral of the Fleet Lord Fisher. The Ramboda Road Tunnel is currently the longest road tunnel in Sri Lanka. Ramboda is most famous for Tea Plantation.In your trip you have a chance for visit to the tea factories and experience the tea plantation in Ramboda.

    Stop At: Gregory Lake, Nuwara Eliya Sri Lanka
    Gregory Lake was built by Governor William Gregory between 1872 and 1877. The green around the Gregory Lake is famous for sunbathing, picnicking and generally relaxing with families. This area becomes crowded during the spring festival in April with carnivals and various other family friendly activities.

    This is one of the country's most attractive, and best-maintained, town parks. A stroll around its paths, past manicured lawns, is a pleasure. The park comes alive with flowers around March to May, and August and September. It’s also home to quite a number of hill-country bird species, including the Kashmir flycatcher, Indian pitta and grey tit.
    At the far end of the park is a small children’s playground and miniature train.

    Day 3: Explore Beaches In South Coast

    Stop At: Bentota, Bentota, Galle District, Southern Province
    Bentota is a resort town on Sri Lanka’s southwest coast. Its long Bentota Beach stretches north, where it becomes a sandy strip known as Paradise Island, parallel to Bentota Lagoon. Coral-rich dive sites include Canoe Rock.

    Hikkaduwa National Park is one of the three marine national parks in Sri Lanka. The national park contains a fringing coral reef of high degree of biodiversity. The area was declared a wildlife sanctuary on May 18, 1979, and then on August 14, 1988, upgraded to a nature reserve with extended land area.
