    Day 2: Visit Gateway of India and Elephanta Caves

    Stop At: Gateway of India, Apollo Bandar, Colaba, Mumbai 400001 India
    The Gateway of India is an arch-monument built in the early twentieth century in the city of Mumbai, in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It was erected to commemorate the landing in December 1911 at Apollo Bunder, Mumbai of King-Emperor George V and Queen-Empress Mary, the first British monarch to visit India.
    Duration: 45 minutes

    Stop At: Elephanta Caves, Mumbai India
    you will take a ferry to Elephanta Caves – a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is 10 Kms away from Gateway of India and ferry would take around an hour to reach. Elephanta Caves are believed to be carved in the 5th century or before that. It is divided into two parts – Hindu Caves and Buddhist Caves. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva. 3 headed ‘Trimurti’ is the center of the attraction. Spend around an hour and return to Gateway of India by a ferry again.

    Miramar is the beach area of the Goan capital of Panjim, also known as Panaji and is one of the most visited beaches of Goa. It is one of the two only beaches in Panjim, other being Caranzalem beach. Many people, mostly tourists, come to this beach every day. Originally named Porta de Gaspar Dias by the Portuguese, the name was then changed to Miramar.
