Day 1: Lalibela - Wedebeye

Stop At: Asheton Maryam Monastery, Lalibela 0116 Ethiopia
A Monastery Located 10Km from Lalibela, and situated around 3,100 Meter above the Sea level, The monastery Church which is a rock church is believed to be the first work of Emperor Lalibela, Which was left unfinished and was later on finished by His succoser Nakuto LA' Ab.

Continue the hike to Wedebeye.

Pass By: Lalibela, Lalibela, Amhara Region
(2,600 - 3700m) In the morning pick up from Hotel or Airport, Meet our guide and start the trek  to Wedebeye Climb up to 1000 meter above the sea level enroute visitng Asheton Mariam monastery church from the 13th century which is belived to be the first work for St. Lalibela.

The trek to Wedebeye will give you a panoramic view of Lalibela, and the surrounding mountains, and our guide will give you a good understanding of how life is for the Ethiopian Highlanders, who live in the highest part of the highland.

Day 2: Wedebeye - Abune Yoseph

Stop At: Abune Yosef Highland Trekking, Lalibela On the top hill of 7olives Hotel Ethiopia
Start the 2 hours trekking from Wedebye to Abune Yoseph ( 3,700 - 4,200 m ) Above the sealevel. After spending sometime in the Abune Yosef Massifs and see the famous Galada Babon, Red Fox, which only found in the Ethiopian Highland, and other mammals like Jackal, Antelope's etc.. And enjoy The Different type of birds, like the White collard pigeon, Raven, Buzzards, Eagles, Lapwings, Hornbill, etc.. Walking back to the camping and on the way stop on some local place and attened the famous coffee ceremony, and drink the Tela, the local beer which is famous in most part of Ethiopia

Day 3: Wedebeye - Lalibela

Stop At: Hudad Lalibela Eco-Lodge & Retreat, Asheten road, Lalibela, Ethiopia
Descend from Wedebeye to Lalibela, and optional stop at Hudad Lodge, to have a very close look to the Galada Baboons and have some coffee there as well. Continue the trip to Lalibela.
Duration: 8 hours
