    Upon arrival in Colombo proceed to Negombo.

    Negombo: “Little Rome” is an exciting city in the western coastal belt. Easily being invaded by different nationalities, Negombo defines a multicultural society. The city is of a vivid combination of a range of cultures mixed within. From the people living to the architectural appearance, Negombo has always homed multi nationalities and religions for people of all types. Aged monuments built during the Dutch Colonial period stands to date. The coast of the city had once been a Fort to the Dutch. The nightlife at the beachside in Negombo is splendid with more happenings than doings. Lively beaches being the entrance, a wide range of seafood cuisines are demanding along the hotels near the beach. From religion to cast, lifestyle to behaviors and edibles to fish equals Negombo.

    Day 2: NEGOMBO - HABARANA – Travel Time – Approx. 4 Hrs

    Stop At: Dambulla Cave Temple, Jaffna Hwy, Habarana 50150 Sri Lanka
    After breakfast at the hotel proceed to Habarana.

    Dambulla Cave temple Located at an elevation of 1118 feet from the sea level raises a massive rock from the surrounding plains of Dambulla of 600 feet high and over 2000 feet in length. It is home to the World’s most acclaimed Cave complex of magnificent Buddha Images and Rock Paintings of vivid colors and shapes constructed and painted from around 2nd Century BC (Anuradhapura era ) and continued up to the Kandyan era of the 18th Century. Sinhalese people call it ' Dambulu Gala' ( Dambulla Rock) and the Temple is called the ' Rangiri Dambulla Viharaya' (Golden Rock Dambulla Temple).

    Day 3: SIGIRIYA – POLONNARUWA – MINNERIYA - SIGIRIYA– Travel Time – Approx. 1 ½ Hrs

    Stop At: Sigiriya The Ancient Rock Fortress, Sigiriya 21120 Sri Lanka
    After breakfast at the hotel proceed to Sigiriya Fortress.

    It is home to the 5th Century “Fortress in the Sky” which is perhaps the most fantastic single wonder of the Island that was built by famous King Kassapa. It is also known as Lion Rock because of the huge lion that used to stand at the entrance to the fortress. its triple-moated defense the huge rock rises almost to a sheer height of 500ft.
    The Sigiriya has leftovers of an upper palace on the flat top of the rock, mid-level terrace including Lion gate and the mirror wall with only known ancient work of Sinhala secular painting survived in the form of Frescoes, the lower palace that clings to the slopes below the rock; the moats, walls, and gardens extending for some hundreds of meters out from the base of the rock.

    Afterward, visit Minneriya National Park Safari.

    Minneriya National Park 8889 hectares in extent is famous for its large population of Elephants, reports of sighting range from 100 to a surprising 700 roaming in the jungle and seen in the catchment area of the lake. The entrance is at Ambagaswewa about 6 km from Habarana on the main Habarana Polonnaruwa road. There are endemic reptiles that dwell here are the saltwater crocodiles, the Indian python, water monitor, Wild Buffaloes, Wild Boar, Spotted Deer, Sloth Bear, Sāmbhar, Leopards and Jackals. The national park’s faunal species include 25 species of mammals, 9 kinds of amphibians, 160 species of birds, 26 varieties of fishes, 78 varieties of butterflies are recorded from the Minneriya National Park.

    Day 4: SIGIRIYA– KANDY – Travel Time – Approx. 2 ½ Hrs

    Stop At: Regent Spice and Herbal Garden - Matale, No:06, Kirigalpoththa, Palapathwela, Matale Sri Lanka
    After breakfast at the hotel proceed to Kandy.

    Visit the Spice Garden – Matale.

    Afterward, continue to Kandy.

    Kandy, a mountain city in Sri Lanka, was home to the Sinhalese kings from 1592 to 1815. It is also the site of Sri Dalada Maligawa, also called the Temple of the Tooth, as a special container holds a tooth of the Buddha. Over the years, the relic came to be very important politically; the belief was that the holder of the sacred tooth was the one who would have power over the Buddhist population. The Sacred City of Kandy was appointed the status of World Heritage Site in 1988, mainly due to the Temple of the Tooth.

    Visit Temple of the Tooth Relic – Kandy.

    Ever since 4th Century A.D, when the Buddha's Tooth was brought to Sri Lanka hidden from sacrilegious hands in an Orissan princess' hair, the Relic has grown in reputation and holiness in Sri Lanka and throughout the Buddhist world. Sri Dalada Maligawa “Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic” which houses the most sacred Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha. Historical procession called “Esala Perahera” is held annually during the month of July to pay homage to the Sacred Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha.

    As Sri Lanka’s largest garden an elegant and spacious 147-acres (60-hectares) plenty of time is needed to stroll Peradeniya’s imposing Avenue of Royal Palms. There are some 4,000 different species of plants at Peradeniya Gardens. The 10,000 or so trees, which are the stars, are mature, lofty giants, many of them tropical timber trees. Highlights of the collection include the Giant Bamboo of Burma, capable of growing to 40 meters height (130 feet) with a 25-centimeter (10-inch) stem diameter. And it can grow by a rapid 30 centimeters a day (12 inches).

Also, visit the BMICH, see the replica of Avukana Buddha and Independence Square.
