  • Day 1: Hotel pickup, Tiananmen, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven

    Stop At: Tiananmen Square (Tiananmen Guangchang), West Changan Street, Dongcheng District, Beijing 100006 China
    Your private guide and driver will pick up you from your hotel,and take you to visit the solemn Tiananmen Square, the national symbol of China located in the heart of the city. Follow your guide to have a morning walk around this city square and take photos of brilliant landmark buildings, such as the Great Hall of the People, the Memorial Hall of Chairman Mao and the Monument of the People's Heroes.

    Stop At: Forbidden City-The Palace Museum, No.4 Jingshanqian Street, Dongcheng District, Beijing 100009 China
    Walk through the Gate of Heavenly Peace with the great Chairman Mao's portrait on it; you come to this morning's highlight - the 600-year-old Forbidden City - the largest and the most intact imperial palace complex of the Ming and Qing Courts (1368 - 1911 AD).

    The majestic Forbidden City has 9,999 rooms! Which are the most essential and interesting parts? The veteran itinerary designer carefully selects the top 10 palaces for you, including major ones on the traditional central axis, and some special chambers on the east and west wings.

    Continue to visit the Temple of Heaven, where the ancient emperors worshiped the God of Heaven and prayed for good harvest. Now it turns to be a large park, where local people do their morning exercise. You can join them and experience the leisure pursuits of local people.

    The last stop of today's sightseeing is the Summer Palace, one of the best royal gardens with graceful landscape and magnificent constructions built in the Qing Dynasty. Your knowledgeable guide will show you around. It is a fantastic resort for travelers to admire the peaceful landscapes and magnificent architectures.

    After that, your guide and drive will escort you back to your hotel.

    Day 2: The Great Wall Tour

    Stop At: The Great Wall at Badaling, Badaling, Yanqing District, Beijing 102112 China
    Your guide will pick you up at the lobby of your hotel. The Badaling is the best-preserved, most complete and the most popular section of the Great Wall. Standing up here, you can see the wall going ups and downs along the mountain ridges.
    Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes

    Stop At: Ming Tombs (Ming Shishan Ling), Ming Shisan Ling Area, Changling Town, Changping District, Beijing 102213 China
    The Ding Ling Tomb is the tomb of the ZhuXu jun, the thirteenth emperor of Ming dynasty. The highlight part is the stone Underground Palace, which had a great deal of precious relics unearthed.

    Pass By: Niaochao National Stadium, No.1 Guojia Tiyuchang South Road, Chaoyang District, Beijing China
    On the way back to downtown, drive by the national stadium, also known as the bird's nest, which is the main stadium of 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. You’ll have a short stop here to appreciate its exterior appearance and take some photos.
