Aveiro & Ovar - Van Tour

Discover the Portuguese Venice! Aveiro is a charming city taken by an “arm of sea” which we also call “Ria”, which in reality form navigable channels, from which we can have a pleasant view of the city - just like in Venice. Arte Nova (tiles and sculpture from the 20th century) are the most photographed views of our visit. This pieces are present in many of the facades along the city streets, and we will have the best of perspectives from the Moliceiro boat along the Ria.
The passage through the Salt pans, the biggest Lighthouse on the Iberian peninsula and the stripe colored houses on the Costa Nova beach are also interesting stopping points.

In Ovar we will make a route identifying the artistic facades of Portuguese tiles from the 19th and 20th century. Here we will have the option of learning the art of tile painting in a small workshop (1h), and also a delicious tasting of typical regional sweets.
