    Sagaing is the capital city of Sagaing Region. Located on the on the Irrawaddy River, 20 km to the south-west of Mandalay on the opposite bank of the river. The pagodas and monasteries crowd the numerous hills along the ridge running parallel to the river.

    U Min Thonze Pagoda is one of the most distinctive complexes on the main hill top of Sagaing. U Min means caves and Thonze means thirty .

    Yadanar Hsemee Pagodas is located in Innwa, The most photogenic view and a must see place in Innwa.

    Nan Myint Tower is the sole surviving structure of King Bagyidaw's royal palace at Inwa (Ava), probably constructed beginning in 1821 when the capital was moved here from nearby Amarapura.

    Stop At: Maha Aung Mye Bon Zan Monastery, Ava, Mandalay Myanmar

    Maha Aungmye Bonzan Monastery, commonly known as the Me Nu Brick Monastery, is a historic Buddhist monastery in Inwa, Mandalay Region, Myanmar. The monastery was built by Queen Nanmadaw Me Nu in 1818 to serve as the residence of her religious preceptor, the Nyaunggan Sayadaw.

    U Bein Bridge is one of the most recognizable places for sunset in Myanmar. It was built in 19th century, connecting Innwa and Amarapura township between Taungthaman Lake. It is the oldest teakwood bridge in the world.
