All-Inclusive Oranienburg & Sachsenhausen Full Day Private Tour from Berlin

When you first drive into Oranienburg it is hard to believe how this small, adorable town could have had such a dark history. The city housed the very first Prussian concentration camp in 1933, where the SA paratroopers locked up 3000 political opponents in the course of 1, 5 years. Today, locals go to buy their groceries at the same spot, where a memorial plaque reminds us of the unforgettable.

In 1936, another - this time a lot bigger - concentration camp was built just outside of the town. Two years later the center of the administrative SS terror moved into a nearby building, which functions as the local tax office now.

Today you don't notice anything of the dark times, as the town vibrates with tourists, cafes and restaurants, along the bank of the idyllic Havel and the beautiful baroque Schloss. Join me in Oranienburg on the traces of history on this All-Inclusive Private Tour, where I'll invite you for lunch in a lovely restaurant, right next to the famous palace of Prussia.
