Day 1: Arrival

From there and take in the sights and sounds of an evening in the modern capital of Israel! Overnight in Tel Aviv.

Day 2: Jaffa - Caesarea

You’ll explore the scenic alleyways and artistic boutique shops of ancient Jaffa.

Stop At: Caesarea, Israel
Head up the Mediterranean Sea coast to Caesarea and explore the impressive seaside site of King Herod’s gateway to the world, Caesarea! From there we’ll continue to the modern port city of Haifa for lunch before spending the afternoon touring the ancient Roman city of Sepphoris, featuring natural vistas and stunning mosaics such as the 4th century “Mona Lisa” of the Galilee. Overnight in Nazareth.

Day 3: Nazareth

Stop At: Nazareth, Nazareth, Galilee Region, Northern District
Get to know Nazareth, the city where Jesus grew up. You’ll visit Nazareth Village, an interactive authentic recreation of what ancient Nazareth was like.

Stop At: Cana, Nazareth Israel
Afterwards you’ll continue on to Cana to see the church commemorating the site of Jesus first miracle, turning water into wine.

Stop At: Mount Tabor, in the eastern part of the Jezreel Valley, Kfar Tavor Israel
In the afternoon you’ll ascend the scenic Mount Tabor and visit the site traditionally associated with the transfiguration of Jesus. Overnight in Nazareth.

Day 4: Galilee - Capernaum - Sea of Galilee

Continuing through the Galilee you’ll visit a variety of sites as noteworthy for their natural beauty as for the fact that they were central to the Gospel stories about Jesus:

The hill where Jesus taught the beatitudes, Capernaum – where St. Peter’s mother-in-law’s house was with its ancient synagogue, Magdala – the home of Mary Magdalene with its mysterious ancient synagogue and ethereal modern church.

Stop At: Sea of Galilee, Tiberias Israel
Ending with a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee and a
visit to the traditional modern baptismal site on the Jordan River. Overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 5: Jerusalem

Stop At: Old City of Jerusalem, Jerusalem Israel
A day to explore the labyrinthine streets and alleyways of Jerusalem’s Old City and the nearby Mount of Olives. The possibilities of things to do and the variety of things to see on this day are too numerous to list, but suffice it to say that Jerusalem typically leaves an indelible impression on her visitors.

Day 6: Ein Karem

Stop At: Ein Kerem, Ein Kerem, Jerusalem District
More Jerusalem, but this time visiting the more modern portion of the city including the unforgettable Israel Museum, the moving Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial, Ein Karem – the quaint village John the Baptist came from and the colorful and raucous Mahane Yehuda market.
Overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 7: Masada, Israel

Stop At: Masada, Masada, Northern District
Descending from Jerusalem you’ll experience the sites and novelties of the lowest place in the world beginning with the option to float in the famous Dead Sea, to encounter the dramatic history and breathtaking views of Masada, and to visit Qumran, where ancient ascetic scribes produced the oldest existing copies of the Hebrew bible 2,000 years ago.
