  • Day 1: El Calafate Airport - El Calafate

    Pass By: El Calafate, El Calafate, Province of Santa Cruz, Patagonia
    We receive you at the El Calafate Airport, where a We People representative will be waiting for you ready to take you to the hotel for check-in.
    The rest of the day is free for all group members to arrive.

    Day 2: Perito Moreno Glacier

    Stop At: Perito Moreno, Perito Moreno, Province of Santa Cruz, Patagonia
    Early in the morning we depart from El Calafate, bordering the southern shore of Lake Argentino, passing at the beginning of the tour of the Redonda Bay where you can see a great variety of birdlife. The first 40 km cross the Patagonian steppe, and then enter the Los Glaciares National Park, where the typical arboreal vegetation of the Andean Patagonian forest predominates, mostly belonging to the Nothofagus family. Once on the glacier, we head towards the main balcony, and then freely walk the walkways. The walkways offer different perspectives of the glacier from their viewpoints, allowing you to enjoy this incredible natural spectacle.
    In the afternoon we return to our hotel in El Calafate.

    Day 3: El Calafate - El Chalten

    Stop At: El Chalten, El Chalten, Province of Santa Cruz, Patagonia
    After breakfast we move to the small town of El Chalten, located just 220 kilometers (about 3 hours away). On the way we will stop at the Parador La Leona, a must stop for a hot drink and try their famous fried cake. Around 10:30 in the morning we arrived at El Chalten.
    Duration: 3 hours

    Stop At: Lago del Desierto, Argentina
    We leave El Chaltén traveling by bus the 36 km that separate us from the Lago del Desierto by a beautiful panoramic road with permanent images, between forests and bordering the Río de las Vueltas. Then, from the Punta Sur pier we sail about 50 minutes sighting the Huemul and Crestón glaciers to disembark at the northern tip of the lake where we disembarked for 15 minutes. Then we sail to the Vespignani Glacier sector, which is located in the middle of the lake. Once there, we will be able to choose to walk some of the perfectly marked trails of the Vespignani Glacier Reserve according to the difficulty and effort that we wish to make. There are three trails for such an excursion. After a farewell snack, we boarded back to arrive at the Punta Sur pier. From there the bus takes us to El Chaltén where our adventure ends.

    Day 4: El Chalten

    Pass By: El Chalten, El Chalten, Province of Santa Cruz, Patagonia
    After breakfast the rest of the day is free to explore this small town on our own, we can delight ourselves with the incredible gastronomy that El Chalten has to offer us and try some Patagonian delicacies such as a good roast lamb.
    We can also choose to take some moderate or light walks that El Chalten has to offer.

    Day 5: El Chalten - El Calafate

    Pass By: El Calafate, El Calafate, Province of Santa Cruz, Patagonia
    We can choose to return to El Calafate in the morning or return in the afternoon to have more free time and continue touring El Chalten.

    Day 6: Argentinian Lake Navigation

    Stop At: Lago Argentino, El Calafate Argentina
    Early in the morning we moved to Punta Bandera, from where we will navigate the Argentine Lake in the direction of the Upsala glacier, the one with the largest surface area of continental ice.
    After crossing the Boca del Diablo, the narrowest section of the lake, a natural access door to the North Arm, the route heads west, and while the landscape turns into forests and high peaks with hanging glaciers, the ship sails between icebergs. giants, testimony of the process of retreat of the Upsala glacier until approaching its extensive front. Later the boat resumes its course and enters the Spegazzini Channel where the highest glacier in the park reigns; its walls reach 130 meters in height and it stretches for 25 km in length. Finally, the North Arm leads to the port, where the participants will disembark to start the road to El Calafate.

    Pass By: Upsala Glacier, El Calafate Argentina
    The Upsala Glacier is the third largest glacier in the Southern Patagonian Ice and also in South America. The Upsala suffered a drastic setback in the last 20 years, which attracted the attention of the scientific community and environmental groups.
    It has two fronts, both approximately 4 km long and 60 meters high. The glacier surface is 765 km2 and the length is 55 km.

    It is one of the main tourist attractions of Los Glaciares National Park along with Perito Moreno and Viedma, among the park's glaciers.

    Day 7: El Calafate - El Calafate Airport

    Pass By: El Calafate, El Calafate, Province of Santa Cruz, Patagonia
    At the indicated time, we will go to the El Calafate Airport to take our return flight. The rest of the group continues the trip to Puerto Natales, in Chile
