From here we continue driving to Abhaneri village. Abhaneri is originally named as Abha Nagri that means City of Brightness. It was built by King Raja Chand of Gurjar Kingdom in 9TH century. It is popular for Chand Baori and Harshat Mata Temple. It is a legend that Goddess Harshat Mata shower brightness all over the village, so it is named Abha Nagri which is probably mispronounced as Abhaneri. The major attraction here is Chand Baori – step well.

Day 03: Jaipur Sightseeing + Overnight Train to Jaisalmer @2345hrs
Today, we will proceed on a full day tour of Jaipur, visiting Amber Fort - the former capital of the royal Jaipurs. Few fail to be moved by the dramatic Rajput grandeur of this hilltop fortress-palace 11 km north of Jaipur. Set on the dry wrinkled Aravali Hills, and surrounded by fortified battlements, the palace straddles two sepia-hued tundra hills overlooking Maota Lake, and its sprawling crenelated walls lattice the surrounding hills. Your local guide will elaborate on the history of this architectural masterpiece with its mirror-studded alcoves, dazzling mosaics and water-cooled swings that delight today’s visitors as they did their former royal residents.

We will pay a visit to Hawa Mahal or Winds Palace - a five-storied structure of pink sandstone with semi-Octagonal and delicately honeycombed windows overlooking the main street of the old city. It was built in 1799 so that veiled royal women could peer down unseen by the world through its 593 stone screens.

Post lunch, we proceed on a tour of City Palace & Observatory. The City Palace in the heart of the old city is a blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. The palace lies in the heart of the city and occupies the whole central grid. The fortified wall has seven gates and was built for protection from invading armies and animals that lived in jungles, which surrounded the wall that time.

Next, we will visit the Solar Observatory - an astronomical treasure house, with solar device that give accurate predictions till date. Drive back to the hotel.

Late afternoon/evening, we will explore Nahargarh Fort; this Fort is one of the most visited Forts in Rajasthan. It offers a breathtaking view of the Pink city built by Maharaj Sawai Jai Singh II in 18th Century. Nahargarh means ‘Abode of Tigers’ and was adopted as the name, as the fort is a frequented site of the beasts. Nahargarh Fort is known for its strong defence.

Late at night, you will be transferred to Jaipur train station to board the overnight train up-to Jasialmer @2240hrs

    Day 04: Jaisalmer Arrival @1155hrs

Within the fortified walls, explore an urban center of about 3,000 residents, with a maze of narrow streets and ornately decorated havelis (old mansions) that were built by wealthy Jain merchants. Decorated with carvings, stone inlays, and ornamental lattice, the havelis make the city seem like an open-air museum. Stop to view two of the most renowned buildings: Salim Singh-ki Haveli and Patwon-ki Haveli. Drive back to hotel.
