  • Day 1: Accra City Tour

    Stop At: Accra, Accra, Greater Accra
    Acquaint yourself with Accra on this private city tour, with hassle-free pickup and drop-off from your hotel. Benefit from the insider knowledge of your guide as you explore highlights and hidden gems including the W. E. B. Du Bois Centre, Independence Square, and Jamestown district and avoid additional costs with all entry fees and transfers included in the price.

    This tour starts from 9-10am. We advice in the morning when the sun is not at its peak. All fees paid will includes admission to attractions and transportation.
    • A visit to the E.B. Dubois Center for Pan African Culture.
    • Visit to the independence square and Black star square, the most famous symbols of Ghana
    • Visit Makola market, the busiest local market in Accra where you can shop beautiful African fabrics
    • Kwame Nkrumah mausoleum.
    • Go to the local art market for art and craft shopping, walk around, interact with artists, take pictures or enjoy drumming lessons.
    • Lunch at the James Town café, try local dishes.
    • Walk around James Town, community that is still having some of the oldest buildings from the post-colonial era.

    Day 2: Cultural Village Tour: Naming Ceremony

    Stop At: Volta Region, Volta Region
    Are you coming back home? Experience real African culture with a naming ceremony to welcome you back to the motherland and be part of a community. Take a day trip to experience authentic village life outside the city and become a member of the community, where local names will be given to you through a traditional drumming and dancing ceremony and you will be invited to take part in some of their daily activities such as pottery making, glass bead making, kente weaving, among others. It is a chance for you to learn about rich African cultures in a remote area of Ghana.

    • Your driver and guide will pick you up in an air-conditioned bus/car from your location in Accra at 8:00am. It is about 2 hours’ drive to the village.
    • While in the village we will call on the Chief and elders of the community who will welcome you by pouring libation (a traditional way of welcoming you to the village).
    • The naming ceremony with drumming and dancing will follow. You will be given a local Ghanaian name and become part of the community while taking part in dancing and the ceremonial activities. • You can take part in a workshop in pottery making, beads making or kente waving. You will experience first-hand village life and escape the busy city life.
    • Spend some time in the community, walk around and engage the locals. Learn different aspects of their daily lives.
    • Enjoy lunch and a beautiful landscape by the largest man-made lake in the world (Volta Lake).
    • Head back to Accra at about 3pm.
    • Drop-off at your location in Accra.

    Day 3: Cape Coast Castle, Kakum National Park & Elmina Castle

    Stop At: Kakum National Park, Cape Coast Ghana
    With a private tour, you can easily head to Cape Coast and Elmina from Accra in one day. Customise your itinerary to include top sights like Kakum National Park, Cape Coast Castle, the Elmina fish market, and more—all in the comfort of a private vehicle and with the added insight of a guide.

    At 6:00am your tour guide will pick you up from your location in Accra. The road trip takes from 3-4h depending on traffic.

    Our first stop will be at Kakum National Park, home to forest elephants, bongo antelopes and primates like the Diana monkey. The Canopy Walkway, suspended 30 meters above the ground, provides treetop views of the forest.

    Stop At: Elmina Castle, Elmina Ghana
    Next stop will be at the Elmina Castle. Here you will witness History, something that humanity should never face again. It is the oldest European building in existence in the south of the Sahara.
    Duration: 2 hours

    Stop At: Cape Coast Castle, Cape Coast Ghana
    Lunch at Cape Coast.

    The last stop will be Cape Coast Castle. Cape Coast Castle is one of about forty "slave castles", or large commercial forts, built on the Gold Coast of West Africa by European traders. It was originally built by the Swedes for trade in timber and gold, but later used in the trans-Atlantic slave trade.

    Around 6:00pm will be time to make our way back to Accra, which again will take us 3-4h depending on traffic.
