This program allows you to experience Tenikwa to its fullest. Not only will you enjoy interacting and getting to know the staff, but also enjoy the natural surroundings and wildlife on the property where the wildlife rehabilitation is situated. The income derived from tours funds the sustainability and conservation programs of Tenikwa. You will spend time learning about the indigenous cats of South Africa as well as seeing the work that is being done in our wild life rehabilitation center.

  • Day 1: Check in to Tenikwa Nature Lodge

    Stop At: Tenikwa Wildlife Awareness Centre, Forest Hall Road, The Crags, Plettenberg Bay 6602 South Africa
    Check in and orientation of the facilities. Enjoy sundowners as the wildlife settles down for the evening. Dinner is a leisurely affair. Depending on the weather it may be el fresco or served in the lodge. After dessert, relax on the verandah or retire to your room at the homestead.

    Day 2: Private Tenikwa experience

    Stop At: Tenikwa Wildlife Awareness Centre, Forest Hall Road, The Crags, Plettenberg Bay 6602 South Africa
    After breakfast, you will enjoy a private guided tour to see and photograph the indigenous wild cats of South Africa and other local wildlife.

    The second part of the exclusive program takes you behind the scenes to observe the activities and work of the wildlife rehabilitation hospital and facilities where you will spend time with the staff chatting and discussing conservation and the various animals being cared for in the facility.
    Duration: 2 hours

    Stop At: Plettenberg Bay, Plettenberg Bay, Western Cape
    The afternoon is at leisure, to explore The Crags, visit the other animal sanctuaries in the area, or take a drive down to Natures Valley, or Plettenberg Bay Blue Flag beaches.
