10 Days Amazing Gorilla and Wildlife Adventure

Day 1: Pick up and departure

Stop At: Rhino Fund Uganda ( Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary), Gulu Highway Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, Nakitoma Uganda
Todays is a day of travel. Enroute, stop over at the Rhino sanctuary for rhino tracking and lunch

Stop At: Murchison Falls National Park, Murchison Falls P.O.Box 455, Masindi Uganda

Day 2: AM game drive, PM boat cruise

Stop At: Murchison Falls National Park, Murchison Falls P.O.Box 455, Masindi Uganda
Whole day is spent adventuring the game park. Activities kick off early morning with a game drive in anticipation of sighting Africa's BIG 4 (lion, leopard, buffalo and Elephant). Other sightings will include various species of antelops (kobs, waterbuck, bushbuck, etc), Jackson's hartebeest, oribi, giraffe, etc.

Later that afternoon, check in for boat ride along Africa's longest river (Nile river). Its an amazing experience that takes you all the way to the bottom of the falls where the massive waters of the nile river falls over a distance of about 49m after crashing through a 7m wide rocky gorge. While on the boat trip, you enjoy the amazing life of animals and birds namely hippo, crocodile, monitor lizards, a variety of different bird species, etc.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Stop At: Kibale Forest National Park - Chimpanzee Tracking, Fort Portal Uganda
Leave your hotel fairly early in the morning for the long drive to Kibale National Park. Along the route, enjoy the beautiful scenic drive through the countryside with lots of local people engaging in large scale agricultural activities.

Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking

Stop At: Kibale Forest National Park - Chimpanzee Tracking, Fort Portal Uganda
Right after breakfast, head out to the park headquarters for a briefing where you will be assigned a site guide for the chimpanzee tracking activity. This activity is quite engaging as it entails moving through the dense natural rain forest that inhabits upto 13 different species of primates and numerous other species of birds. Highlight of the activity is chimpanzee
Duration: 4 hours

Stop At: Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary, Kamwenge Road, Fort Portal Uganda
Enjoy the beauty of the wetland as you take a trail through the rich swamp that inhabits various species of birds and monkey life. Thereafter, continue through the community for an experience of the indigenous cultures of the native people of the region. During this tour, learn much about the way of life of the people in activities such as beer making, local coffee brewing, food production, making of local crafts, among others.

Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Stop At: Queen Elizabeth National Park, 410 kilometers from Kampala, Kasese Uganda
This will be a few hours of travel through the rich region of the kabarole region. You take a scenic drive through the crater rich region of the foot of the Ruwenzori mountains. While at this, get amazed by the way of life of the native people very busy is transacting in their local farm produce (plantain)

Day 6: AM Drive, PM boat trip

Stop At: Queen Elizabeth National Park, 410 kilometers from Kampala, Kasese Uganda
Highlights of the day is game drive in search of the various species of wild game. Sightings will include lion, elephant, kobs, waterbuck, warthog, giant forest hog, etc.

Later that afternoon, get engaged on a boat trip along the kazinga channel in anticipation of hippo, crocodile, monitor lizards, various bird species among others.

Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi forest National park

Stop At: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Buhoma Uganda
This day will be a day of travel to the gorilla land. During the drive, enjoy the scenic views of the country side with sightings of the virunga missives from afar as you close in to your destination.

Day 8: Gorilla tracking

Stop At: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Buhoma Uganda
This is the highlight to your trip. Much anticipated day when you get to interact close up with the humble gentle giants of the wild. During the tracking progress, you may be chanced to come across other primates like the red tail monkey, black and white colobus monkey, l'hoist monkey, etc.

Day 9: Canoe ride, personal relaxing time - Lake Bunyonyi

Stop At: Arcadia Lodges Lake Bunyonyi, Uganda
This day is more of a relaxing day. At your convenience, take a canoe ride along with one of our sight guides on lake Bunyonyi as you visit some of the histocial islands that are filled with amazing information about the traditions of the native people of the area.

Day 10: Drive to Kampala / Entebbe

Stop At: Airport Transfer Entebbe, Kampala Uganda
This is a day for travel back to the city or destination point of choice. During the travel, you enjoy the scenic drive with a few stop overs for lunch and the equator.
